I’ve just arranged to switch my broadband from EE to Virgin and want to take my landline across too. I’ve just called the Virgin Pre-installation Team and they’ve told me that they can’t do this which I find a bit puzzling!
Who do I need to talk to to check this out and (hopefully) get the landline ported across?

I would avoid porting an EE/BT landline into a VM bundle & port it to a SIP / VOIP provider.
Once in a VM bundle the landline number will be near impossible to port again without VM charging costly early cancellation fees and / or causing months of delays such that the next telco abandons the number porting process risking loss of the number.
