Landline not working

Hello folks, my VM landline hasnt been working for a couple of months and I would like to know how to get this sorted.

We very rarely use the landline and it was only recently that we found out that people have tried to get in contact with us that I noticed that the message on the phone says check phone line.

I have unplugged the landline and tried another socket but there is still no ring tone and the check phoneline message still exixts.

Can somebody assist please?

    Have you logged into the hub to see if telephony is enabled there?

    If it is, you may have been moved from a wall socket connection to landline from the hub. You would normally expect to get notification of this happening though.

    Alternatively, you may also have a fault on your traditional landline socket. Also worth borrowing a phone from a friend, family member, neighbours etc. to check your phone is not at fault.

    A VM person will respond here eventually (usually a few days). If you need/want quicker action you should phone VM from a mobile. There also used to be a line test feature under service status when logged in to 'My Virgin Media'
