Landline issue - the person I call can’t hear me

Elderly mother only has landline. When she dials out the call connects but the person can’t hear her although she can hear them.

If people call her it is fine.

if she calls a mobile it is fine.
She had  three handsets that all do this.
Any ideas?

Is the phone connected from the back of a VM hub (rather than a traditional telephone wall socket)?

If the phone connection is from the back of a VM hub, then one way communication during a call and calls cutting off altogether mid-conversation are common issues which are reported regularly on here via that connection method.

She doesn’t have a hub - landline only plugged directly into phone socket

  • Hi Webber17

Thanks for your post, welcome to the Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear that your Mother is having issues with her landline service. How strange.

I've sent you over a private message so I can take some details and investigate this issue further.

    Thanks

      Hi Piglet162

Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. Sorry to hear of your Mum's telephone issues.

Can you advise, is this with every caller or just certain numbers?

      Best wishes.
