Hi there, My elderly mother has said for the last few months she can sometimes hear a beeping/ clicking sound when she is already on the phone. She now knows it’s when someone else is trying to get through. She doesn’t have the call waiting feature and is getting frustrated. Could anyone advise please?

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, sorry to hear your mother is having issues with her landline. Have you tried an alternative handset to see if the clicking/beeping sound remains, and is it a new handset? As she does not have call waiting as an active function with us, this may be down to the handset type that advises her of this.

Thanks for the response. It’s not a new hand set. There is also crackling on the line from her end. I have also noticed when I call her and she first says hello, I only hear the end bit of hello.
