Phone still dead this morning, need to register loss of service for compensation we didn't get anything last time and it was down for 2 days.

Surprisingly the phone was back on before the engineer arrived, he just checked all had a dial tone and rung, said it must have been sorted their end and left.
Will see how long it lasts this time.

Unfortunately the compo scheme is little help for short, recurring outages as VM gets 2 clear working day to fix any faults before any compo is applied

Phoning in, or using one of the automated tests and getting confirmation of a fault, are the recommended ways to report a total loss of service.
