How to connect phone to new Hub 5?

I recently received a new Hub 5 but don't know how to connect my phone to it. The previous hub was supplied with an adapter to plug the phone into, which then connected to the hub. The same adapter doesn't fit into the new hub.

How do I connect them?

Thanks

Thanks all for your replies....you are right, the old adapter plugs into the TEL1 socket and it works now. I got confused because I had this lead (see photo below) plugged into the old HUB and the power socket and thought it was somehow connected to the phone! Do you know what this lead is for? I assume it's now redundant.

    Thanks again for your help.

That's the power supply adapter for your old hub, you will have received a new one for the Hub 5.

The adapter goes into the TEL1 socket on the Hub 5 (yellow sockets on the Hub 5 are for network devices only and the VM phone adapter will be too small and won't work in those)

It is the same TEL1 socket on all VM hubs using a RJ11 socket on the hub as per image here

If you are using the same telephone adapter it should be the same arrangement as before

  • What was your previous hub, I recently swapped from a Hub 3 to a Hub 5 and used the same adapter.
