I am in ther process of switching to Virgin broadband, the engineers are here now, but they tell me that i will loose my land line connection today. this was not explained to me when the salesman came to my house. How do i keep my land line active?
Did you use One Touch switching? If so your phone number should be ported over to VM. It may also be terminology, as you will lose a physical "landline", but the phone service is now run over the Hub.

If you live in a Full Fibre area we will not be able to support landlines, so that we can be sure we would need to bring you in for a private message.

If that is the case, the OP would need to port the phone number to a VOIP supplier.
