Home phone - no dialing tone
Evening, Yesterday I replaced my old Virgin Hub 3 with my new WiFi Hub 5, managed to set it up relatively easily however, my landline phone does not have a dial tone. Phones were working perfectly fine prior to the switch, cable was unplugged from one hub and plugged into the Tel 1 socket on the new hub - no need to touch the cable going into the wall socket. I have checked and the phone can receive incoming calls and I can make outgoing calls its just that there isn't a ring tone when I pick up the phone. Tried lots of troubleshooting suggestions, checked status of line and all seems good. Any suggestions as to why there isn't a dial tone. My concern is, my husband is disabled and we have a care alarm linked to the phone, I don't want the worry that it may fail if he triggers his alarm.
