Help! My Landline has stopped working - do i need an adapter to switch to the router?

Hi,

Praying someone can help - my landline stopped working a few weeks ago. The handset is just silent, no dialling tone, nothing. When you call a number its silent top. When i call my landline from another phone it seems like it ringing, but my handset is silent and you'd have no idea someone was calling you.

I thought it must be an issue with the handset so bought a new one - but the same thing is happening.

Is this because i need to switch to VOIP via the router? I am just hardline into the old socket.

How do i get an adapter so i can try my handset directly in the router? I have Super Hub 4.

Praying someone can help - I have been trying for 2 days and unable to get through to Virgin Support

There is a pause in the switchover, so it’s unlikely to be that.

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.

VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.

    If no area faults found:

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.
