Virgin TV Go not working on iPad

When I log in to the app on my iPad it just says “Oops - the service isn’t available at the moment. Try again in a few minutes”. Happened for days. iPad software and app up to date, app works on my phone. Any help? Is there any iOS too old to work?

    Sorry to hear that TV Go is not working on your iPad.  And for any inconvenience this may be causing.  And sorry if none of the helpful tips on here, are not helping your specific issue.  When you say that the app is working as it should, on your phone handset, is that also an apple device?

      Yes, it’s an iPhone and works fine. I did have to rename my iPhone recently and save as a device after using it for years. But I can’t even get to that step on my iPad as I get that error message

        Thank you for expanding. If you haven't done so already, can you try removing and then re-downloading the app and giving it another go?

  • I have the same issue on my iPad. I have cleared all cookies in browser and removed the app then reinstalled. Same issue when logging in through website. Am able to log in through phone which is android.

      I'm very sorry to hear about the issue with accessing Tv Go. 

      Can you confirm if you have tried to access this via different web browsers? If so, can you list the browsers you've tried?

        Tried both chrome and safari. Have a feeling you have stopped access as all OK on android phone just issues with ipad which is running on version 12.5.7. Was working great until had to reinstall the app

  • Same iOS 12.5.7 same issue on iPads and I have tried multiple gives same error service not available all other Apple devices work fine! Great beta testing!!!

    Re Virgin TVGO app. I get the same message on my Samsung Galaxy S20 android phone “Oops - the service isn’t available at the moment. Try again in a few minutes” when trying to view Live TV, no tv guide or channels are loading. Box Sets and On Demand all load up normally. So I am unable to view any live tv. My device is operating Android v.13

  • I am having this exact issue but I’ve not seen any reply to any of the questions, is there a resolution to this?

      Thank you so much for your post and we are so sorry to hear that you are also facing this issue! 

      Can I ask if your iPad is running the most up to date version of the app? Are you seeing the exact same message as the original post? 

  • I’m having the same on several Apple devices. I got to Sign in and after submitting my email it shows “opps - the service isn’t available….”  Interestingly, regardless of the email I enter it gives me the same error so it doesn’t seem to be authentication related.

      I’ve also, cleared safari cache, turned off all the privacy features and blockers and tried from my WiFi (where the vbox is), on mobile data and another WiFi. 

  • 💥 SOLUTION FOUND - For Apple device but may work on android. 

    At the sign in screen

    • Enter your email 
    • DO NOT USE THE “GO” BUTTON ON THE KEYBOARD
    • PRESS the “Done” button to minimise the keyboard
    • PRESS THE BLUE “SIGN IN” ON THE APP 

    For me, this then prompts for the password and let me in.  

    I guess the “Go” button on the keyboard submitted an erroneous entry and kicks you out. 💥👍
