TV on the go app issue to view sky sports

I have today downloaded the Virgin TV on the go app on my son's iPhone as his TiVo V6 box has stopped working today green screen of death. An engineer is due to visit on Monday but can someone advise how he can access the sky sports channels which we are subscribed to so he can watch the sports channels on his phone. When he tried it said we need to subscribe to sky but I already pay for these channels.

    You need to use the Sky Sports app to watch Sky Sports.  It's available from the apple app store

    You can also watch Sky Sports on a computer via the browser 

    Go to skysports.com and click on Login, then click on the Virgin TV UK icon.

    Sign in using your My Virgin Media account details and then select a channel, and then a program.

    If you haven't already got it installed then download the Sky Sports Player as prompted.

    Your show will start playing and your device will register itself automatically.

      Sorry to hear of your concerns with Sky Sports. We can see that newapollo has kindly advised on how to access this through the Sky Sports app.

        Hi Carly thanks for your reply. I do currently have an issue with one of my V6 boxes which stopped working on Saturday (green screen of Death - hard drive failure). I did contact one of you agents and after much tooing and froing he has arranged for an engineer to visit today between 4 and 7. The agent didn't seem to understand or know what the green message meant as he kept telling me to access the TV guide and other things on the box but we couldn't do anything on the box. It was so frustrating trying to get him to understand the problem and I had to keep insisting for him to arrange an engineer as the V6 box needs replacing. That was the reason I had to access sky sports on the app on my son's phone so he could watch the NFL matches. Hopefully the engineer will replace the V6 box (I have 2) and my son will be able to watch virgin TV today.
