TV GO on PC failed to link account

TV GO app says I'm not linked to my Virgin Media O2 ID, so I enter my Virgin Media 02 email address.

Get the email, click the link, and it opens up the main Login home page. Nothing happens with TV GO. Finally, I got locked out due to too many attempts. Attempts because in their wisdom VirginMedia decided to make their customers set up a VirginMedia 02 ID themselves, rather than migrating across!

I finally got my Virgin Media account linked to my Virgin Media O2 ID, but Virgin TV GO refuses to link after an endless doom loop of verification emails that go nowhere.

Anyone found a solution?
