TV Go Android app - 'sorry we can't play this at the moment 0'

I am using a brand new Android Tablet with the latest Android release (v16) and have installed the TV Go App - I am able to log onto my account and when selecting any channel, the request to register the device appears, as soon as I select register, I then get the following error:

Not Available - Sorry we can't play this at the moment 0

I have tried clearing cache, even deleting and re-installing the app. I am also able to successfully watch when accessing Virgin TV Go via Chrome on the same device, so it's just via the TV Go app that it doesn't work.

Any advice?

  • Hey zodders, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community we are so sorry to hear about your TV GO issue.

To confirm is this message saying the same on all the content or just a few channels?

Does the TV GO app do this on any other devices?

  • Hi Matthew, thank you for your response.

Yes, it's the same for all content. Each time I am prompted to register device and each time I get the same error - 'Not available - sorry we can't play this at the moment 0'

I do not have the same issue on on other devices (it works on my phone), nor on the same device when accessing via Chrome, it is only via the TV Go App on this particular device.

I do have VPN software installed, however I have made sure that the VPN is not connected when using the app.

      Hi zodders

Some VPN's also have browser extensions which run spearate to any individual VPN app or program so if using a browser please also check extensions.

TVGo and Sky Sports app etc can also be affected by AV programs and extensions running.

  • Hi Zodders 👋 Thanks for getting back to us!

We appreciate your feedback and for flagging up this issue.
It sounds as though the issue is specific to the current operating system and the version of this Android app. The developers are making bug fixes and updates all of the time, so please keep an eye out for updates to the app which should resolve the issue.

In the meantime if you can please use the service via Chrome or on the alternative devices where it is working.

We appreciate your patience and understanding! Hopefully the team have it updated and working soon! 🤞

  • Thank you all for the responses.

@Molly_T  Not sure if there was an app update pushed out or something changed on the backend, but I am now able view all channels via the TV GO app, so the problem appears to have been resolved without me changing anything.
