Sky sports subscription not working on Sky sports app through virgin media

I cannot access sky sports through sky sports app laptop or phone through the virgin media log in link on the sky sports page. When I try to access sky sports, the service says I do not have access to sky sports channels because it is not in my subscription.  I have check and sky sports is included in my package and can access the channels on my TV.

These problems of not being able to access a service I pay for, not being able to access my subscription page is very disappointing. Any help would from a Virgin media team member would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Richard1945,

    I notice you've only just joined the forums.  Have you also just joined VM and your services activated in the last few days?  If so there may be a slight delay before your account details are incorporated within Sky database to allow you to access the mobile sports app and desktop player on windows/mac devices.

    Have you registered for My Virgin Media yet? You need to use the same log in credentials for My Virgin Media and the Sky Sports app.

    You may be able to access Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Mix and Sky Sports Racing channels via the Virgin TVGo app.

      Hi Newapollo, 

      Thank you for the response. I have been with VM for many years but due to their mistake they cancelled and reactivated my account. I have had to create a forums account to get help with this issue as I only use the sky sports app when I'm not at home.

      I can access the channels you mentioned but I would need to access sky sports main event which is only available through the sky sports app. I have had the channels on my tv for over a week now so I assumed I would be able to access sky sports. I am unsure when I will get access to the app.

        Hey Richard1945, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community I am sorry to hear you are having some Sky Sports issues. 

        Are you accessing this via the Sky Sports GO app? 

        Does this work normal on the TV?
