Sky Sports app and failing Passkey

Ever since I have set a passkey in the Virgin app I am not able to log into sky sports on all my devices that I used to access. 

On my phone (iPhone) I goto the app and try and log in using the virgin media link. It asks for my email. 
I enter my email and I then get a “your passkey wasn’t verified” with options to try again or verify another way. 
another way sends me an email link to click and eventually sky sports app allows me to watch sky sports. 
however on other devices where I cannot access my email this will not be possible. 

any ideas on how to solve this?

    Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. This error message indicates you've not completed the Passkey set up. Please follow the below;

     

    1. Sign in with your Virgin Media O2 ID
    2. Go to Account settings, and then Security settings
    3. You’ll see all your authentication methods listed there
    4. Tap the method you want to add or change, and follow the on-screen instructions

  • I have the same issue - I have to go through the same loop every time of seeing "your passkey wasn't verified" >  try another way > get an email > click the link. It's so tedious. I have checked within my Virgin Media O2 account, using the steps above. The passkey exists. But there is no further info about how to actually make it work. On the same devices, the passkey works to log into my account with no problem, its just when I try to use Sky Sports.

    What I would say to the original poster is, you can click the email link from any device, it doesnt have to be the device youre watching on.
