NOT ABLE TO WATCH SKY SPORTS ON TABLET

I am trying to watch the cricket but suddenly this morning there seems to be a new login screen saying "Sign in or register for Virgin Media O2". When I try to login I don't even get to a password screen I just get:

"You don't have permission to access "http://accounts.id.bskyb.com/sign-in/error?" on this server.

I am sick and fed up of so many things not working on Virgin Media.

I was watching on my tablet last night so why has it changed. I PAY FOR THIS SERVICE

  • Also having same problem as was hoping to watch the lions on the go app. I pay for sky sports through virgin.  Has this been resolved? I seem to have the same issues described above.

      Sorry to hear of the Sky Sports app issues Gethin72, can you confirm if you have alos recently set up your VMO2 ID?

      If so, please try clearing the cache and data from the app and rebooting the device. This will remove any previous login details that may be causing the issue.

        Cleared data cache and restarted iPad 

        went through normal process, opened Sky Sports app, click watch, click live 123rd open, selected sign in with VM, entered email address, entered VMO2ID password and then

        “Apologies we can’t load this page at the moment” 

        So that didn’t work!!!

         

         

         

         

         

  • Just having the same problem with merged ID. Got error code IDF-12B, was told ring virgin media and all I got was this was a problem with new ID and not able to say when it was going to be resolved. Appalling 

  • Thank you for your reply. Logged out and then back in to TV go and it sent me a link via email to bypass my passkey and now logged in. Did the same on sky sports and appears to be working today but hadn’t done before. Thank you for your help 🙏

      On my tablet I looked at TV GO and I am logged in as a user with a 9 digit number (???), I am om worried if I sign out I may not get back in with my email and Virgin O2 ID.

        Where exactly does the nine-digit number show? Also, have you tried signing out and signing back in since your latest post?

  • It is now August 2nd and I am getting all the same issues. I have:

    Created my Vm O2 login and it works

    Reinstalled Sky Sports app on my tablet

    Used Login via Vm in the SS app to watch a sport and I get the access denied errors.

    Very frustrating as I use this all the time when on my travels. Come on VM give us a sign

     

  • I am also still having the same issue, have uninstalled the Sky sports app, reinstalled it, cleared the cache, checked to make sure everything is logged in correctly on the other apps and the device simply will not move from the sky login page to the vm one after clicking on the icon?

  • I have a similar problem since the O2 login was introduced, can’t login as I used a old work email address. The link is an old email address that I can’t use as I left that company 4 years ago. Can anyone help with authentication problems ? 
    I can watch sky sports on a laptop, watch ppv or login to my account.

        TV GO not working either, use the correct login email and then a message saying Ooops not working try again later.

        BOTH Apps not working on android tablet since I "successfully" linked VM and O2 accounts.

        BOTH work on iPad iPhone and on Laptop. In fact using my tablet i can log in to the 'desktop' version of TV Go, just not through the Apps.

        It can't be a coincidence that since linking neither app works!!!

    When my sky sports app worked (last month?) I think I was using an email that was designated as my primary account way back in 2014 when I moved house. VM insisted I could no longer use the previous one (which is still my current email for all correspondence with everyone including VM) as my primary. As a result I gave them the email I had at my then employment - they said it would never be used and it only had to be unique. I have not had access to that email since February 2014. (as it was a school I am very certain that the domain no longer exists never mind the email address!)

    Fast forward to this month and I realise that VM probably think that my primary account is that email and accordingly they send a verification email to it whenever I try to use it. How on earth am I to get round that? I cannot even log on to Virginmedia.com as the verification email is sent into the ether! 

    Reading the entries on here it appears that some people have also fallen into this position. How did you solve it?? All replies gratefully received

      Is the app and phone both fully updated?

      What device are you using to try and log on, IOS or Android?

      Have you tried deleting / reinstalling the app? 

      Does it work on any devices at all?
