Unable to watch “LIVE” Sky Sports content

I can log into Virgin Go TV and watch any Sky Sports content that isn’t a ‘Live’  broadcast but it won’t let me view anything that is ‘Live”. Have had 3 support calls and awaiting a 3rd call but having to waiting 3-4 days for these call backs isn’t helping. Anybody able to offer a solution please? Cheers

    The only Live Sky Sports available via VM TVGo are the Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Mix and Sky Sports Racing channels.  For all other Sky Sports channels you need to either use Sky Sports app or the Sky Sports web site via a browser.

    If you subscribe to Sky Sports then you can use the Sky Sports app which is available for andoid and ios devices to watch the Sky Sports channels on a mobile or tablet.  The TVGO app should redirect you to Sky Sports app  (provided you have downloaded it) and you log in using your VM credentials by clicking on the Virgin TV UK icon.

    You can also watch Sky Sports on a computer via the browser. Go to skysports.com and click on Login, then click on the Virgin TV UK icon. Sign in using your My Virgin Media account details and then select a channel, and then a program.

    If you haven't already got it installed then download the Sky Sports Player as prompted.

    Your show will start playing and your device will register itself automatically.

      Hi newapollo and thanks for your reply, 

      I am unable to log in via the Virgin TV UK Icon link, sometimes it doesn’t even show. VM support told me to log in via skysports.com, that showed the icon but would it let me sign in though it. It has now been escalated and I am stuck awaiting another call back. This is my first month as a VM customer and at first the Broadband nor the normal TV would work as they had not “activated” the services at their end, I am hoping this is a similar issue but up to now the two operators I got calls from didn’t have the TCH knowledge. One said I have to take out a £9.99pcm specific support pack, no chance of that happening!

  • Thanks for reply, I have the SKY apps but the log in from/via Virgin icon does not work. Virgin are saying I have to pay an extra £9.99 per month for a Gadget Rescue Team service to sort it which I will not do.

      Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Apologies for the app issues. 

      We can see from background checks that you've raised this with the support team who raised an Incident Ticket (this is beyond the normal IT tickets) which essentially mean it's with the company, not just IT. 

      The ticket shows as resolved for you - can you confirm this to be the case?
