my virgin tv go app won’t connect to my tv

Hi so when i try and use my virgin tv go app as a remote for my tv it will not connect to either my bedroom or living room tv. i cannot use the remote as it is damaged and i have tried to order a new remote but it gives me an error message saying page cannot be reached. 

i have tried deleting the app off my phone redownloading it, turning the boxes off and on again, turning the wifi off and on again, tried mobile data and my normal house wifi. 

my box is definitely connected to the wifi as i can keep pressing channels on the box and eventually takes me to netflix app through the channels and it works so im not sure what the issue is please help

    Sorry to hear of the issues experienced with the TV remote.

    Check out the envelope in the top right hand corner, and I'll be able to ensure a new remote is ordered for you.

    In the meantime, it may be worth searching for the Virgin Media TV Control application to use this to control your set top box, rather than using the Tv Go application
