Can No Longer watch sky sports on Virgin tv go

I renewed my virgin media account last Thursday 25th September, ever since when I login on the sky sports app via the virgin login section, I log in and then click on watch and then choose to watch live football, it comes up with this box (see attached picture) and when I click 'got it' and when I try and click on to watch live football again, I get the same pop up box, so it doesn't allow me to watch live sky sports channels anymore. I have called Virgin media customer service numerous times and found it as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. Anyone else have this issue?

  • Yep, am getting the same problem as well. I have been calling VM customer service nearly every day because they say 'you will get a call back' and never do, then yesterday VM customer service say they are aware of the problem. I logged it over a week ago and still not fixed. VM is really going down hill now since they paired up with O2, nothing works anymore after these so called 'updates' this needs sorting by Wednesday 8th October for me, otherwise am cancelling my contract as us customers have 14 days to cancel after renewing, because this should not take this long to sort out!!!!

      Can we please ask if you've tried uninstalling the App and logging in again?

        It seems that there are a lot of us having the same problem and you haven’t helped anyone fix this? Everyone has already uninstalled and reinstalled, it also happens on browser as well, this is a bit of a joke!

  • Hi, I have also been having the same problem. I have called the VM customer service number numerous days and times I have lost count. This needs to be fixed because I feel you will lose a lot of customers. I renewed last Thursday, as you know customers have 14 days after renewing to cancel if they want, I will be doing so next Wednesday if this is not corrected because it appears no one at Virgin know what they are doing or even how to fix this, I have already got a new sky package lined up, I just can't be bothered with changing all the equipment so was hoping virgin would sort it, but their appears to be no urgency if fixing the problem.

     

  • I am having the exact same problem, appears virgin have big problems as it looks like it is happening to a lot of customers that have renewed, because it was working before I renewed also. I am not actually looking at leaving Virgin because its one problem after another and no one knows anything when you call them.

        Not yet, I spoke to VM customer service yet again about it yesterday and also explained I am not the only one with this issue as per this forum and they just said they have raised a ticket and I should hear back from them this Friday (3rd Oct) as they will call me with a update, but I won't hold my breath, I will call them again Friday afternoon if they haven't called me.

  • I have just this minute seen your post as I have also posted the same issue on here, I have spent days ringing them as well with the same issue, so it's not just me, it must be something they are doing in house at Virgin, I don't know what else to do also apart from leave virgin and go to sky, we have 14 days to cancel as I renewed last thursday.
