Wifi pods are impossible to get
I'm on the Virgin Media Gigabit plan, which entitles me to Wifi pods for full wifi coverage. However in practice, you need to first prove to the Virgin Media team that you have abysmal coverage in a room before you can get anywhere in your conversations. And what I mean by abysmal is: on a gigabit plan you'd want to see 1Gbps ideally, but let's be realistic and say you want at least 600 Mbps on Wifi. Well, the Virgin Media won't consider sending you Wifi pods unless you can show you've got less than 40Mbps somewhere, i.e. 0.4% of the bandwidth you pay for. Nevermind the fact that these pods are marketed as being included in your package.
It's also not enough to do the test once, in total I've had to run it something like 5+ times because you need to do it before speaking to Virigin media staff, and whenever you speak to their staff they ask you to run it again.
Finally, after spending all this time running tests, you finally get someone who agrees to send you the pods you are paying for as part of your package and you find out that they won't send you 2 pods (or god forbid the three in your offer) right away, they only send you one. And only if you still have issues will they send you one more (after doing all the above again). And even after that, you've agreed you're getting one and.... nothing happens. I never received them and it's been months. Last time, it took me something like 3h+ and multiple calls/chats to get to ordering, and I just haven't had the time to chase this down. So for the past year (!) that I've been with Virgin media, I've had to put avoid working in some areas because it's so incredibly hard to get Virgin to actually send the pods that are part of my package.
We're now at a point where I need to use those rooms so I don't have a choice but to make this work and so will try again so that I don't have to buy my own wifi mesh network. Can someone please please help me get at least one (or 2...) of these pods in good time?
