Upgrade from 350 to 500 Mbps not activated yet.

I took up the offer of a reduced charge to upgrade my package from 350 to 500 Mbps.  Had an email to say this would be active on Monday 15th.  Sam knows test shows nothing has changed and package description on my virgin media remains at the old speed.  Is there a backlog in activating these upgrades.
