Your device is only connecting to the Hub on 100Mbps ethernet. Try a different cable and check the device ethernet settings.
Regarding the Wi-Fi speed, for higher speeds make sure device is connecting to the Hub on the 5 GHz band. We see this info in the "Connected devices" menu of the VM Hub menus.
Assuming your devices have dual band Wi-Fi, it is the devices ( mobile / laptop etc ) that picks which band to use and if the slower but longer range 2.4GHz band is used speeds up to about 50 Mb/s are seen.
Thanks for advice guys.Real speed app shows speed at router is correct >250Mbps .I have now connected PC to wifi 5 GHz and speed is correct. I would like to know where the problem is as I am sur I got full speed in the past.Connecting cable is cat6 and the Realtek(R)PCI(e)Ethernet Controller is set to 1.Gbs full duplex
Try in safe mode with networking:
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-windows-10-in-safe-mode-with-networking
This will show if it's a software issue.
run powershell
Get-NetAdapter | where Status -eq "Up" | select InterfaceDescription, LinkSpeed
Realtek(R)PCI(e)Ethernet Controller is set to 1.Gbs full duplex
We are assuming the PC is directly connected to the VM Hub i.e. no use of 10/100 switches or Power Line Adaptors or and no use of a network cable plugged into a VM Pod / Wi-Fi repeater.
Login to the Hub menu and find out if the Ethernet connection to the Hub is at 100 or 1000
in the Hub's Connected devices list. If 100 try a different network cable.
I prefer to see a NIC of a computer to be set in Auto speed mode,
forcing the speed setting to 1 Gbps can result in no connection at all.
I tried safemode with networking and got the same results- low for wired and correct for wifi. Also tried another pc and got the same results.
Someone on a suspicious number claiming to be from Virgin phoned me on my landline asking about my internet speeds and wanted me to turn on my PC and mobile .When I started to questioning him he rang off .Hope this forum is secure!
I got a cat8 cable and download speed is still stuck at 100.Ethernet connection to the Hub is still at 100 ,NIC is set in Auto speed mode
just noticed that my tv box is 1000 and thats with a at6 cable! are there any adjustments that can be made to the Hub?
