Booster not producing WiFi through wireless or wired connection.

We got a booster because the hub range is about 8 metres. The booster was at the top of the stairs but seemingly doing nothing as if the thing wasn't even turned on (it was) I came back to it earlier today and it was pulsing green so I took it into my bedroom and connected it to my Xbox via cable and the Xbox is saying there's no connection at all. Then I realised that the booster randomly connects and disconnects when ever it feels like it. I got the booster 3 days ago if that's any help. Does anyone know what I should do?

A Wi-Fi booster needs to be in a position where there is a decent signal from the VM Hub.

Check your mobile phone does work well at the chosen location before installing the Wi-Fi booster.

If a Wi-Fi booster is installed in a position where there is very poor or worse no Wi-Fi coverage from the VM Hub the booster will not be able to work and may even create a large area where devices connect to a dead Wi-Fi service from the booster.

Pods need to be in range of the Hub so they can work over Wifi.  If the Pods are too far away, they will not work.  You might need more than one Pod to get coverage to the area.

  • Hello eyesis.

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.

Sorry to hear the pod hasn't helped with the connection up stairs.

Looks like you all the advice has been given already.

But I am here to help by looking at getting a second pod sent out to help.

If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check your logo at the  top right of your screen that would be great.
