Working from home dilemma

I have now got to work from home so I need to rearrange my living room as my particular work device needs to be connected via Ethernet and can’t have a Ethernet cable going across the living room as I have a young child

what would the process be for getting an engineer out to move the master socket in my house as I tried ringing up but couldn’t find a relevant option

  • Hi Rossmw93,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

I can see you're already in a private conversation with my colleague who has been helping you to resolve this.

We'll leave this with them to avoid multiple agents working on the same thing 🙂

    Thanks,

You can fix an Ethernet cable to skirting boards with adhesive clips or use cable trunking to hide the cable.

There would be a £25 non fault call out charge (it used to be £99) to do the work you require.

You should call  150 from a Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone, option 2 (Faults)

Or wait a day or two and a member of the Forum Team should pick this up for you and arrange a tech visit.
