Stream box needs more power...

I have a message saying 'Your stream box needs more power to start up. Please plug it into a wall socket using the plug and cable provided with the box.'

I wasn't provided with a plug and cable. It is plugged into the TV and connected via wifi.

What do I do?

    Is there no power going to the box? I assume that the connexion to the TV is an HDMI lead, or is there a second lead to the TV? 

    If you have a second lead that goes to a USB port on the TV then that should really go to a plug attached to the mains as not all TV USB ports supply enough power.
