Router

Hi i live in a top flat and the router does not always connect to the ring door bell I have changed to a faster speed as the adviser said this would help and it hasn't made it as good as I would like. Can I have the router moved to the middle of the flat. Thanks

You have been tricked by the 'advisor' into paying more. Faster broadband will not improve a poor wifi connection.

If your contract allows for a free Pod wifi extender, you should request one. Otherwise get yourself a better wifi access point.

  • Hi laurie543

    Welcome to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear of your concerns with your Ring Doorbell.

We can look at relocating the router if you prefer. This would be a chargeable  £25 call-out charge.

The other option is extenders/boosters to boost the signal further if it is a coverage issue that's causing the concern. You can check this through Sam Knows real speed checker here or with our Connect App

If your WiFi speed is below our guarantee then you can opt to have our WiFi Max pods. These are an extra £8 a month unless you're also an O2 customer and have Volt benefits applied to your services. You can find out more on WiFi Max here

Keep us posted on how you'd like to proceed.
