Requesting cm IP address

Please can anyone help me before I lose will to live!!

upgraded from hub 3 to hub 5 - had flashing blue light phoned to activate after 45 mins of repeated saying needs activating she finally said oh it needs activating šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø had the text to say activated and I still have flashing blue light and when I go into box it says requesting cm IP address - tried all Google suggestions of resetting etc and still same (missed important postie delivery as they can’t seem to read a note to knock and not use ring (note was covering doorbell so not a happy bunny) anyway so fed up with moaning kids who can’t cope without wifi put old box back in and still works!! From what I read it shouldn’t after upgrading so is line at fault or box and have I really got to endure another useless phone call again and pull hair out? 

if anyone can help me I would appreciate it before I go slowly mad - thank you šŸ™šŸ»

    have you tried putting the hub 3 back on - a long shot i guess but it might work - if it does they not activated the 5 correctly

      Thank you for your reply that’s  what I had to do last night and it still works (I have read it shouldn’t once hub 5 activated) so I’m guessing it’s not been activated properly

        thats about the sum of it - CS [offshore] will tell you anything to get rid of you - so they lied saying they had activated it - theres a couple of phone numbers for activation - dont have them handy but have a search - they might help

  • Trying to start new question but I can’t work out how I did it 🤣 oh dear one of those days 

    hopefully someone may be able to help 

    wifi pods had 2 with my hub 3 but they don’t seem to be communicating with the hub 5 

    do I need to remove in the connect app and re add or do virgin need to add to the new hub?

      They have to be registered with the new HUB, which the VM team should have also done!
