Rejoined but account says inactive!

How can I reactivate an old email account that was closed by virgin when I lost my job and I had to leave. 
I have now rejoined and went to log into the virgin media connect app, and it said my Account is inactive or closed and would not allow me to use the app. 

any help with this would be great, thanks

    Thank you for your post, welcome to the Community Forums.

    If your email account was deleted due to it not being attached to an active account, we're afraid that we would not be able to retrieve it. 

    We can only apologise.

      Can the email be changed please? I need to access the virgin media connect app to set up my new router.
