Red Light on Virgin Media.

My Virgin media hub has now developed a red light on the hub which upon reading various chats is that the unit is over heating. I am struggling to get Virgin to replace it. Has anyone had the same situation and how have they got over it.

    We're sorry to hear of the red light showing on your hub currently.

    Please can you confirm if you any reboots or resets have been performed on the hub to see if the red light does not that re-populate upon rebooting the hub?

    In addition, if these methods have been ran, we would advise switching the hub off for 30 minutes, with this being unplugged to allow the hub to cool down.

    Do then reboot the hub and see if the red light returns.

      Hi David,

      Yes I have done all them many of times and yes the red light is still there. Yesterday I got back on to VM and thankfully they are sending a new box out today to me. So hopefully that will now sort out my problem.
