Pod Issues

Hi, can anyone explain why I only get one device connecting to my pod (which is a mobile).  I've placed the pod in the next room to the hub. My sons room is directly above the room with the pod in but his pc only picks up the poor hub signal. He needs his PC for Uni. So not sure what else to do. Thanks

  • I have 3 pods, the black rectangular ones, they connect to the hub automatically after a couple of minutes, they extend the WiFi from my hub 5x very well, don’t understand how the pod is just connecting to the mobile, it should just blanket the WiFi throughout your house/flat etc. you might need another pod, you are allowed 3 & get them free if your on the gig1 speed

Thanks for replying. I have the white one. As of now it says its off line. I've not moved or touched it and it intermittently turns it self off.  I've reached out to customer services and it took forever just to get one, the first one they sent out was faulty (or so I thought) but this one doesn't seem to want to work either.  Im on volt so should be able to get another but as it stands it's not worth the hassle.  Not sure what else to do

        Hi Carrie_

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Apologies for any broadband issues.

There are a few requirements for the Pods to work with our Hubs:

        •    The Hub must be in 'Router Mode' and not have been changed to 'Modem Mode'.
        •    Channel Optimisation must be left on.
        •    The SSIDs must be the same and broadcast enabled.
        •    The SSID must be password protected.
        •    The Passphrases of the SSIDs must match.

As long as all of the above points are all met then the Pod should automatically connect to your Hub's Wi-Fi and begin broadcasting. The wireless details from the Pod will be the same as the Hub's details, so no additional steps are required to connect the devices in the home.
