One Switch Failure
After 16 years I moved to a Virgin Media Mega TV bundle, my Sky deals were finishing & their prices were sky rocketing. I searched online for the best provider, I liked the look of the Virgin deals & when a Virgin Media salesman knocked on my door he convinced me to try them when he said he could get me a recordable box.
Virgin set the latest broadband switch date, we knew this was before my Sky contract was running out & that it would be amended nearer the time. I contacted Sky & gave my notice period for the TV package. The Virgin installation was moved to the correct date & everything appeared to happen on the 8th August 2025, both the TV & broadband have worked fine since the installation.
I first suspected a problem when I didn't receive an activation for the free Netflix either by email or on the app. When I was billed by Sky for broadband I knew there was definitely a problem. I have since conducted 'chats' with Virgin & phoned Sky both saying the other needs to complete the switch. Virgin have said they'd deduct any bills taken by Sky since the switch over.
I emailed the original Virgin salesman, he said because my account is live he can't do anything himself but provided me with a phone number which is great because you try finding one on the Virgin website!
I phoned Virgin for the second time this Monday, the 1st of September, the advisor has raised another 'ticket', although I informed him my tv & broadband has worked since the 9th August he said my Virgin account wasn't active however, he agreed that the broadband switch hasn't been completed, he assured me that any Sky bills would be deducted from my Virgin account & that I will receive an email in the next two days.
It is now nearly a month since my installation & the broadband switch over & Netflix issue still hasn't been resolved. Virgin haven't raised my first bill as they say my account isn't active, I haven't received any emails top say the final process has started, you would think Virgin would be keen to resolve this so they could start charging me.
I think any 'tickets' raised by Virgin Media goes into their spam box, nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced these problems, how did you get it resolved?
