No Phone line

I have had no phone line for more than 6 months. I reported this and was told my line was okay. Broadband okay. I was then sent a dongle device as phone line was going digital. Lost phone line before digital came in. Unable to use dongle etc. as router etc no where near the phone. Phone in house router in studio. 
Resolutions team useless. They have now admitted that I had no phone line for 6 months. Made appointment for engineer at 12 hours notice and I was told that if appointment missed I would pay £25.00. ! I have lost business and no offer of refund or reduced payment  Customer service useless. No reply to emails for weeks. Now complaint with ombudsman  sorry for the long ramble. Avoid Virgin Media. Communication is not forte. I am leaving

        You won't be compensated for lost business on a domestic contract.

        As for the positioning of the router and the phone connection for digital voice, VM may be able to relocate the router but if you want to keep it where it is you'll have to find a solution for phone coverage within your home.

        A base station at the router and wireless handsets is the normal option.
