Moving my hub 4

So I have the hub 4 but the issue is the coaxial cable box? Is downstairs in my living room by the front door. The Internet because of this is actually awful so I had the genius idea to move the router upstairs. Issue is the coaxial cable is too short and would end up dangling across my living room and being a massive hazard. My solution was to order a 30 maybe 40m cable off amazon. What are the chances my WiFi works after this?

You would probably better spend your money to pay VM £25 for a non-fault call out to modify your cable and balance the signal levels at your hub.

  • Hey vinomso,
Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.

We would advise that this work is carried out by a Virgin Media engineer to avoid the issues that goslow advised.  I can arrange the appointment from here but would need to confirm a few details via a private message, that I will drop over in a moment. Please look out for the private message and we can get started.
    Kind Regards,
