Moved from Sky to Virgin Media

Hi

I've recently joined Virgin Media and now waiting for the equipment to arrive.

I read online and when going through the process the following is mentioned "One Touch Switch: What is it and how does it work?"

I selected to notify yourselves when I want to Switch across - but how does this work as its extremely difficult and time consuming to get through to an actual person to speak to?

Does the Switch happen once my equipment has been activated, or can I install and let you know a specific date that I want my broadband to be switched on and cut off from Sky?

Any help would be appreciated since as being a new Customer trying to reach you via telephone is an utter nightmare so far....

Thanks

Zack

If you are not taking Sky TV with you to Virgin, I would make sure you cancel this with Sky. As many have found out, "One Touch Switch" only applies to Broadband & Landline switching processes, not to TV.

  • Hey z_ck,

Welcome back to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to post. If you didn't ask to start the process via One Touch Switch, I'm not sure that you can then revert to that process.

You wouldn't need to inform us of your installation, as we'd know when your equipment was installed. This would update our system and start your billing; it's your former provider that you would need to inform, not us. If you've signed up for the One Touch Switch, once your equipment is activated, it will alert your former provider to close your account down.

You can find all you need to know about the One Touch Switch process here.

    Kind Regards,
