Move Router

When I signed up for VIRGIN Broadband as a new customer there was already cabling into my house from a previous user  so they just sent a new router. However, the cabling for the previous customer was into the lounge but I need to the router in my office on the first floor. Will Virgin come and move the cabling or will I have to change providers? Many thanks,

Good reason for asking for a manned install, which would have been free.

Contact the pre installation team on 0800 052 1734 & they will arrange a technician. Bear in mind that install technicians are not permitted to work above 1st floor heights.

Thanks for the assistance. I was not offered a manned installation (from memory). They just sent the router. I will call and see how I get on. I have tried to use powerline adapters to get it hardwired into the study but the house is 200 years old (obviously not the wiring!!) and it just does not work properly. thank you,

If you have to pay for the move, the most it will cost is £25. But in the circumstances it should be free.

Powerline adapters are a poor substitute.
