Kit delivery not for a month!

So I just received a text message saying that my install kit won't be delivered until the 11th of November?

This feels very delayed considering I am now paying for the service, am I expected to just pay for a month of broadband without any ability to use it?

I am sure that a company as big as Virgin media has the ability to deliver the kit sooner than a month later after ordering.

Any way I can get any help with this?

    You will not be charged until your broadband is connected and working. If any charge has been made already it will be used as a credit until then.

    Welcome back to the community forums 

    Sorry to hear that there is a delay to receive your new install equipment. 

    Your account will not be activated until your equipment has been successfully delivered to you, so you wouldn't be charged until your installation has been completed.
