Issue with initial install

Hi all,

Just needed some help, I've had issues with my install and due to my job I cannot get an engineer out till the 6th of September as this is the earliest they can do where someone will be at home within working hours, sadly because I work at a school in a different city I wouldnt be home in their operational hours.

But I want to enquire on here if there may perhaps be a simple fix.

So effectively this is the only thing I can see that resembles a wall socket and it seems that the plug is damaged beyond use, but it also seems to be like the home hub connect is there anywhere or anyplace where I could get this replacement without waiting till the 6th for an engineer.

Many thanks, Ash

Are you saying that adapter connects to the wall socket? For it seems to me to be an adapter for an HDU (a powered splitter).

We have one of these, it is the 12 volt PSU for the (external) ONT in an RFoG connection.
I have not yet seen a similar device to buy.

I came to the conclusion my only emergency option would be to buy a
12v PSU of at least 500ma and remove the supplied plug,
replacing it with a soldered on F-Socket.

In the photo below the item required is the RFoG PSU in the 13A wall socket.

These are on the engineers vans that service streets where RFoG is installed,
arrange an engineer visit to deliver one to the customer.

I have yet to read a single post where a VM Mod has ordered the correct item and had it delivered ... in every past case the wrong PSU was delivered causing weeks of delay.

That is also my understanding and recollection, Client 62. I seem to remember one similar topic in the past where the back-and-forward on here went on for weeks, with random items of equipment being sent out, before the conclusion was reached that the required power adapter could not be sent out individually and a tech visit was required to fit one.
