Is my connection getting cut off after a text and email I received?

Good day to you all,

I am currently on virgin media for fibre and tv but this morning I got a weird text and email with the following message,

We recently got in touch to tell you Virgin Media broadband was available in your home. Unfortunately, due to unexpected technical problems, some more things still need to be set up. This means our broadband isn't ready to use just yet.

We're sorry for the delay and we're working quickly to sort things out. We'll keep you updated and let you know in the coming weeks when it's up and running.

The message is strange as I am already connected and have been so for some months? I was wondering if anyone else got this message as it is worrying me a bit now as I home school my daughter and I'm now worried the internet is going to go off.

I have tried live chat but that is just waiting and waiting and bit getting through to anyone.

    Could have been sent to you in error. There are many new connections being delayed at present.

    Log into your account at MyVirginmedia. That will show any changes.

    We're sorry to hear you've received this message. This is typically a message sent in cases where we've been out to do a pre-installation survey and discovered further work is required before we can activate services. If your services are already activated, it may be a mistake or it could be that someone else has used your number to sign up to new services. This can sometimes happen if they've typed their number in incorrectly. 

    We'd like to take a closer look at this for you but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security. 

    I've sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you're using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you're on a mobile/tablet device then instead, click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊
