Installation appointment window - does it get more precise on the day?

Hey!

I am in the process of moving house, and will be moving the last of my furniture with some friends and family on Saturday 9th. I also have an engineer appointment to install broadband on the same date.

The issue is that the engineer window I have received is 8AM-1PM, but I am not currently staying at the new property (it is a 5-minute drive away). I will be back and forth from the house all day, but if the best information I get is "they will be there at some point in those 5 hours," there is a very real chance that I will be between houses and miss the appointment.

I am hoping that on the day I will receive some communications from the engineer to give a more specific time window, so I can ensure I am at the property when they will be arriving. Does anyone know if they do give out a text/call to let you know a more precise arrival time on the day?

Cheers,

Sam

I think it's variable. I have had a call on the day, but it's not guaranteed. The actual time depends on the technician's previous visits which can be very variable in length.

The time taken with you depends on what needs to be done. If the outside connection hasn't been completed or has been damaged then there could be a delay.
