Houses on my street have VM but not me

Hi, the postcode checker shows VM broadband to be available at houses on my street by my house says someone will contact me within 10 days but nobody ever does.

Does anyone know who I should speak to to try to get connected with VM?

Thanks

The normal process is that VM will send out a “spotter”. They have to assess where the existing ducting is & what work is required to connect the property to the network. This then goes to the back office team for costing & feasibility, & to check there is capacity in the segment to accommodate another customer. Usually with underground services you will see green paint appear on the pavement outside where the spotter has marked out & taken photographs for the ongoing assessment. As to how long it takes, this varies & if it has been a long time the news is usually not good.

  • How do you get a spotter sent out though for something like this?

If you have filled out the form on the website, this will usually trigger a spotter visit.

  • I've filled out the postcode checker form a few times but have never had any response

  • Hey alecp, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community, we are sorry to hear you've not heard back from the specialist  team just yet.

How long ago did you fill this form in? It can take up to 14 working days for a reply.
