Getting virgin to my house

Hi, I had a virgin rep come to the house when my street went live but unfortunately at the time my house wasn’t “live and serviceable” has he said. He thought it was down to mine and my neighbours drive being shared access and needing approval from us both. Which we did at the time. And this was then being sent off to be sorted. That was about a year ago…

I recently seen another virgin rep on the street who I spoke to who raised the same issue of being shared driveway again. Both agreed again. But it’s all gone quiet again. Could somebody please DM so I can try and finally get this resolved.

to other members of the community is this normal. Should it take this long? Or am I being to eager to get off the 20mb line I currently have?

thanks

The sales persons of course were keen to get their commission, but it's quite possible that each time VM decided not to proceed for one of several reasons.

They have a fixed budget for new installations, and if the cost of digging and repairing the driveway can't be covered in a very few years' service contracts they will just walk away. Then there are technical reasons, for instance their local network may be at full capacity and can't take another connection. There are others.

If you wait here, a VM staff person may pick this up and offer to help.

That may be case jpeg1 but at the very least they could inform me if that was the problem.

I take it then you have no experience of Virginmedia.

  • 3 months since I left them my details and still not even as much as phone call.
