Coaxial cable for hub5
**Subject**: Exposed External Cable and Broadband Outage During Wet weather
Hi Virgin Media Team and Community,
I recently had Virgin Media broadband installed at my property, with a Hub 5 and an external omnibox fitted on my front wall. However, I’m concerned about the installation as The coaxial cable running from the pavement to the omnibox is partially exposed along my front patio and only shallowly buried near the pavement. I have included a picture. The cable is running at the base of the black fence till the pavement
Yesterday I lost broadband signal for about 3 hours during wet weather and there was no other outage reported in the area. I’ve attached photos showing the cable’s condition along the patio and near the pavement for reference.
Could someone confirm if the setup is correct and is the cable meant to be exposed like this and will it get worn out and damaged? Because as the weather gets worse over winter , I don’t want to keep getting outages in wet weather
Thanks in advance for your help
