Advice on cables
New flat - has Virgin connection and 2 sockets with a cable already attached as in photos below (both sockets exactly the same, just in different rooms.
It looks to me to be a screw on connector (I imagine there's a proper term for this, sorry) - in my current flat I have a cable that you just push on to attach to the Hub (this came with my self install kit). Can I use this existing lead and screw it on to my Hub 3, will that work ok? I've actually tried screwing it on to my Hub to see if it fits - it doesn't screw on all the way down - don't know if that makes a difference, it does attach fine, but I can't test if it's working of course yet as not moved yet/transferred my internet to new address. Just trying to get an idea if I need an engineer's help. Any help much appreciated, thank you.
The cable coming out of the wall box at an odd angle is a concern. It's usually connected to a isolator at a fixed angle:
Yes, you can screw the HUB directly into the already attached cable, and it won't seat the whole way.
