Wifi pods

I currently have 2 wifi pods, one is constantly flashing and making a buzzing sound which is very loud but my other problem is that one of the bedrooms gets zero wifi signal at all so i think i need a 3rd pod to actually put in that room. 2 of our kids share that room so thats 2 people not getting any wifi at all & its just useless!

Tried calling virgin and struggling to get someone that understands the problem, i even got hung up on by a lady i was speaking to.

Anyone from Virgin able to help me out at all with replacing my number 2 pod and also sending me a 3rd one to put in my kids bedroom? I will try calling again on my day off to see if i can get through to someone.

Thanks, Sharon.

  • Hey weeshaz, thank you for reaching out and I am so sorry to hear this.

Have you tried to unplug this?

What colour are the lights on this pod?

Was it working fine before the buzzing noise?

Hi there okay the buzzing has now stopped phew! So that one no longer needs replaced.

However i still have the problem of zero wifi in the back of the house, i have a pod in the middle halfway from router, them another halfway the other way and that covers my whole house except this back area witg the largest bedroom.

Would a 3rd pod be an option at all to try putting between the 2nd pod and back of house to try and branch the signal out to that direction ?

If you put a Pod in a room that has no signal, the Pod will not work.  The Pods need a Wifi signal to "extend", so they should be placed half way between the Hub and the Wifi dead spot.  Think of it like holding hands, if you are too far apart, you can't reach.

Hi, yeah i already have 2 pods, the 2nd one has made a huge difference to the whole front of house and end bedroom but i have this deadspot towards the back, im sure if i could put a pod in that bedroom it would be close enough to the 1st pod to branch i signal from it if that makes sense. My 2 girls cant get wifi on their devices which is very frustrating and they shouldnt have to use their limited data every evening which then runs out halway through the month

        Hi weeshaz,

Thanks for getting back to us on this. Have you used our Connect App at all? If so, is this also showing that you have a black spot in that area of the home? If so, you should be able to order a new Pod directly from the app.

Let us know how you get on.

        Thanks,
