Virginmedia/O2 Sign in issues

Having issues logging into this new fangled joint login system. Get so far but the verification email never arrives. Tried creating new account with differant email and linking vm / o2 accounts to that but still have same problem as it needs to verify im who i say i am by send link to existing email, said link never arrives. Its a vicious circle. Tried clearing cache checking junk folders but no joy. HELP.

    I get caught in an infinite loop of creating a VMO2ID.  I can't complete the last stage of the process.

    Also cannot sign in email sent and verified but still cannot sign into account. Tried account recovery with the only option of forgotten email and filled in all deatils on bill. ACCOUNT NOT RECOGNISED. What a stupid system and virtually impossible to speak to someone.
