Virgin saying they haven’t received equipment I returned over a month ago

My daughter returned virgin media equipment sent to me in error; I think she entered my email address incorrectly because I haven’t received any confirmation email etc from Virgin etc to say it’s been returned successfully / I’ve just received a text to say I’m being charged £65

surely virgin not receiving the equipment lies with them? I know I don’t have proof of return because my email address has evidently been entered incorrectly.

 

im not sure what to do. I’m a 70 year old vulnerable lady. I’ve been severely unwell the past few weeks and virgin want to charge me this close to Christmas !

    We're sorry to hear your returned equipment hasn't yet been processed on the account. It may be worth checking with your daughter to see if she put her own email address in when she returned the equipment. We'll need to take a closer look at things to see if there is any update but in order to do that I'll need to confirm some information with you to pass security.
