Virgin Media isn't letting me upgrade.

I am getting an email saying that “Thanks for getting in touch about upgrading your services. We've had a look at your details and can see you're already a Virgin Media Customer.” This is after I phoned them up and wanted to change from my 250Mbps Package to the Gigabit Package, Where I live has also got their infrastructure, so can anyone help me out with this?

    Thank you for your post.

    We're sorry to hear about the issues you've had trying to upgrade. 

    The wording of that email suggests you've tried to take a deal via our public website. Is that the case?

    If so, as these are new customers deals, as an existing customer you wouldn't be eligible and that would generate that email.

    When you spoke to the team over the phone, were they unable to upgrade you to 1Gig as requested?
