Upgraded from m250 to m350

I took a m250 contract out for 18 month in 2024, in April 2025 I decided to upgrade to m350 via the offer in my virgin media app, the day after I thought I would just check via telephone that the upgrade would end same time as my 18 month contract they said it would, but I've just noticed that in my virgin app account the contract end date is showing 18 month from the April upgrade, what should I do as I can't really afford a large increase.

      Just checked and it does say 18 month from the day I upgraded to m350, the thing is that was the reason I rang them to clarify, I asked if the upgrade would end when my current contract ended they said it would otherwise I would have cancelled the upgrade as iirc it was the next day when I rang, I'm going to ask if they can access the telephone conversation, I've always been very happy with virgin just feels like I've been duped tbh,

    I've never seen any speed upgrade on a Contract that didn't change the old Contract to a new Contract, unless it's a special website/mailshot offer. For example "Upgrade for £3 pm with no change to your existing Contract". 

    If you are still within 14 days of this change, you can cancel and revert to the old  M250. 

    Also just check the new Contract period, as it is now 24 months rather than the old 18 months.

    That upgrade offer was made to capture you into a new contract. VM don't make offers just to be nice.

    Sorry to hear these concerns about a package change taken out via My VM, and that you are looking for confirmation of your current contract terms. 
    When a change is made to your services or a new fixed term contract agreement is taken out, you would receive confirmation of this in the form of new contract documents. (These are usually sent to you via email and/or text message.)

    You should also be able to view the current active contract information - including start and end dates, in your package /contract information. 👉 virg.in/myVM - Head to the home page and the 'View contract' button on the right hand side of 'Your latest bill'.
