Unwanted sales calls

I seem to have been getting a few sales calls lately from Virgin, on a couple of different numbers.

I am happy to receive emails, but don't want to be hassled by phone calls. I haven't ticked the marketing consent box in my preferences, but the only option for how to contact me is phone + text + email - as in I can't just remove the phone part.

I'm not interested in sales calls, please can you update my profile settings to stop this happening.

Ray.

  • I think it's all or nothing Ray with VM. Just change the phone number on file to the local kebab shop.

      Hi RayPuzey

Welcome back to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the calls you're receiving from us. We are unable to switch off just one contact method for marketing; it would be either all or none, as advised. To update your marketing preferences via your online account. Click on Account settings > Marketing preferences > Edit my preferences. From here, you can choose whether you want to receive offers. If you switch this off, it will stop any calls, emails and addressed marketing.

  • My marketing preference is already unticked like I said. The bit I was referring to that is on is just contact preferences. So I guess that has no bearing here.

So I don't understand if I've opted out of marketing why I was getting sales calls?

When did you make the changes to your marketing preferences or have they always been that way? If it was recently it can take a short period of time for this to be updated and the number removed from being contacted.

        Always been that way.

Look, it's not a big deal - I haven't been inundated or anything so if there's nothing more that can really be done here.

        Cheers anyway.
