unresolved complaint affecting credit score

Can anyone please advise. I left VM last year moving to another area with Virgin services. Despite repeatedly sending details of my new address-ie driving licence photo and raising a complaint, my credit report is now showing a defaulted payment which is meaning I am not able to get a mortgage! I cannot get through on the phone and need urgent support.

  • Hi val9,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

We're very sorry to hear about your credit score.

We can certainly take a look into this for you.

I will private message you now.

Your credit file should show some details of the default, perhaps an old account number or suchlike?

You need to collate details of why you believe the default to be invalid or incorrect, and email those to mailto:creditfileamendments@virginmedia.co.uk

Some of the more common causes on this forum, are old accounts not being closed down and balances remaining outstanding - perhaps with some end-of-contract dispute thrown in for good measure.
